Chelsea rejected Maurizio Sarri’s late offer

Chelsea have agreed to let Maurizio Sarri join Juventus after declining his offer to remain at the Bridge, with the move expected to be announced in the upcoming days.
The 60-year-old boss had an excellent season in charge of the Blues, ending third in the Premier League and winning the Europa League, though the Italian struggled to win over supporters and experienced some problematic moments – notably losing 6-0 to English champions Manchester City.
The Premier League giants had been considering getting rid of Maurizio Sarri before the win over city rivals Arsenal in Baku, though Juventus were impressed with his performance and made him their top choice to succeed Massimiliano Allegri.

After being handed the green light to leave Chelsea, Maurizio Sarri flew to Italy where he has held talks with Serie A champions, and a deal is expected to be announced in a matter of days.
The 60-year-old boss is relatively indifferent about leaving Stamford Bridge so soon into his tenure, with supporters rallying against ‘Sarri-ball’, and is exciting about the project he will inherit in Turin.
Juventus are expected to buy out the final year of Maurizio Sarri’s contract, which will cost at around £5 million.
