PREMIER LEAGUE FIXTURES 2019/20 ANNOUNCED: CHELSEA HANDED BIG MATCH TO BEGIN
The fixtures for the 2019/20 Premier League season have been released and we have all the details of who Chelsea are playing when.
It’s a blockbusting opening fixture for the Blues as we travel to Old Trafford on the opening weekend of the season to meet Manchester United.
Who do Chelsea play after Manchester United?
Our first home fixture is against Leicester City before we head to East Anglia to take on promoted Norwich City. August concludes with a home game against another side that came up from the Championship, Sheffield United.
When are the big London derbies?
We travel to Tottenham and Arsenal in consecutive away fixtures either side of Christmas. Our first visit to Spurs’ new stadium is currently scheduled for 21 December, with the trip to the Emirates a week later.
We host Arsenal not long after on 22 January, while Tottenham are at the Bridge on 22 February
When do Chelsea meet Manchester City and host Manchester United?
Our fixtures against the champions Man City are scheduled for 23 November (away) and 21 March (home), while we will host Man United on either 8 February or 15 February.
That is because of the inaugural mid-season player break. The Premier League will split one round of matches in February over two weekends, with five matches on the weekend commencing 8 February and five on the weekend commencing 15 February. The split of the matches will be decided when the UK broadcast picks for the month of February are announced.
And what about Chelsea’s Premier League games against Liverpool?
Liverpool visit Stamford Bridge on 21 September, while our trip to Anfield is our last away game of the season on 9 May.
What are our Premier League games after the six Champions League group stage matches?
We play Liverpool, Crystal Palace, West Ham and Bournemouth at home after European fixtures, and also Southampton and Burnley away. The latter two games are both in October.
Between the Tottenham and Arsenal away games we welcome Southampton to Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day. It’s off to the South Coast on New Year’s Day to play Brighton.

Who is our last Premier League game of 2019/20 against?
The curtain comes down on our league campaign with a home game against Wolves.
